Look Who's Walking

Reagan just turned 1 and is now walking. She thinks she is a big girl and can hang out with her older sisters...just untill she chokes on a polly pocket shoe.

Princess T-Party

We had a princess T-party for Ashtins 4th birthday. It was lots of fun with good food.

What's the Buzz

Over the summer we had some unwanted guests. A family of bees (over 9,000) landed on our house hoping to find a new home. We were able to find a bee whisperer great.lakes.honey@gmail.com who was able to remove the swarm. The removel was a site to see! With rootbeer in a spray bottle the Bee Man scooped our frends up with care and much patience. This was a great show to all the neighbors who came to view the removal through our bathroom window. After loading up the Bees in a box we waited a bit for the stragglers to crawl in to the box. During the wating period our friendly neighbors Janet and her daughter Ann refreshed us with some rootbeer and some non-sting bee cookies. The Bee Guy gathered up our fuzzy freinds and took them to a new place to find their sweet necture. All in all it was a buzz!

Goin Fishin

Our family enjoys the occasional camping trip or cook-out but we are not too keen on fishing or hunting. In fact Braeton is the only one in our family that has ever caught a fish... that was until this past Monday.

There is a pond in our neighborhood where we can go fishing. It is "catch and release" which suits us because we don't want to gut and clean them. In fact Gina doesn't even want to touch the fish. We bought each of the kids a fishing pole for Christmas. The girls got a Disney Princess pole that doesn't even reel in anything larger than a quarter. We started by putting on some of the lures that Braeton received with his pole. We saw 5 or 6 fish looking at the bait but none of them would take it. Gina then pulled out the marshmallows and pretzels. The marshmallows didn't work too well but the pretzels proved to be the trick that did the job. With the Disney Princess pole Gina was able to catch her first fish! From the video below... you can be the judge of whether she was excited about catching the fish. You can hear Maren in the background join in her excitement too! I'm just glad we were able to catch this special moment on video.

11 Story Tower

Braeton created this 11 story business card tower in just under 2 hours. Maren wanted to smash it with a ball but Braeton took the honors and smashed it to pieces.

All I want for Christmas is my...

Well... Christmas is over and Maren has lost her two front teeth. We are glad they came out because they were starting to poke out due to the growth of her new teeth underneath.

Snow Day

We got pounded with a foot of snow last night. Braeton and Maren took advantage of it by sledding down our hill. Ashtin thought it was too cold to go outside.
